Why we built Struqt

We created Struqt because we understand how overwhelming the initial stages of building or developing can be for everyday people.

Planning regulations, zoning and overlay requirements are often complicated, hard to access and confusing. Each state, council and individual site has different requirements. Navigating this information is time consuming and confusing.

A property sits beneath three planning overlays stacked above it: Heritage, Bushfire and Flood. Each overlay adds its own set of rules on top of the underlying zoning.
On the left, a dense block of unreadable planning-code lines marked up with corrections; an arrow points right to a clean architect's site card showing a “Permitted” verdict, three checks (single dwelling — yes, subdivision — check, DA pathway — 3 mo) and a site-coverage dimension.

Our role: clarity from architectural experience

Our role is to simplify that process. We take complex planning data and interpret it through the lens of real architectural experience, translating it into a clear, easy-to-understand overview of what is likely possible for your potential site.

Our reports are informed by Architects who do this work every day.

Our reports are informed by Architects who work with planning controls, residential design and development approvals every day. We understand how these regulations are applied in practice, helping bridge the gap between technical planning rules and practical outcomes. Every Australian State & Territory is covered, whilst constantly monitoring and updating our data to provide accurate, current and reliable information.

A split panel. On the left under the label “Automation,” a stack of data rows, a magnifying-glass over a map pin and a small map tile — captioned “parse data, geocode, render maps.” On the right under the label “Architects,” a set-square, a hand-drawn dimension line labelled “interpret,” and a sticky annotation note that reads “weigh, decide, advise.”
